I have been trying out meditation for years now but find it unable to to hold on the thought even for a few seconds. I have heard of many suggestions – Focus on one thought, Focus on nothing, Focus on your breath, etc etc but find that my thoughts waver over a wiide range of items.
A few days back, happened to watch this and the monk in this gives a new perspective and shares new information – How you can visualize your thoughts in two parts – The mind and a pointer of awareness that moves between the thoughts or areas of thoughts.
I find it interesting and am trying to use this to see whether I can control the pointer of awareness. Let’s see..
